While many legal staffing companies provide clients with employees to fill contract and direct-hire jobs, not all can deliver exactly what a client is looking for. This corporate legal client worked with another staffing agency for several months to fill a legal assistant position for its general counsel and executive legal team without success.
The corporation received more than 70 resumes for the open position from their own recruiting efforts, but after a series of initial interviews, none of the applicants seemed to be the right fit. The other agency simultaneously sent them many candidates but none of them matched the client’s search criteria. The client then enlisted the help of Exclusively Legal.
SOLUTION: Gain a True Understanding of the Client
The Exclusively Legal staffing team met with the client in person to discuss what type of candidate was needed to fill the position. The goal was to understand with complete confidence what the client was seeking. Due to Exclusively Legal’s local market expertise, the legal recruiters initially worked with this national law firm’s East Coast office to find an office manager for its San Diego office.
Several placements were made in the new San Diego office. And in an effort to get to know more about the culture of this East Coast-based firm, an Exclusively Legal recruiter made time to visit her long-distance contact while on vacation on the East Coast. The relationship developed over time and the recruiter was called upon to assist with specialized management recruiting for another growing satellite office of the law firm.
