SDLSA Membership

Exclusively Legal offers a free one-year membership to the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association (SDLSA) to all legal secretaries we place in direct-hire jobs.

Group Discount Health Program

Employees holding contract legal jobs are eligible to participate in our health discount program at the start of their new assignment. Our health discount program includes medical, dental, vision reimbursement and term life with accidental death benefit.

401(k) Plan

Legal professionals who have worked more than 1,000 hours of contract employment are eligible to enroll in our John Hancock 401(k) retirement investment plan. Contractors may contribute 1% to 100% of their salary pre-tax, with a maximum of $16,500 per year. Exclusively Legal may match a percentage of the contractor’s contributions, with full vesting after two years.

Medical Plan Referrals

Contract employees in California can take part in our referral programs designed to help them establish a health insurance plan of their own. We offer referrals through leading insurance carriers and offer a variety of plans to choose from, including HMO, PPO and basic hospitalization plans. Plans are for employees and their families.

Paid Family Leave and Short-Term Disability

Contract employees in California, New Jersey and New York participate in short-term disability programs, where they are provided income in the event a non-work related injury or illness prevents them from being able to perform their job duties. California employees holding contract legal jobs are also eligible for Paid Family Leave, which provides income for those who cannot work because they are providing care for an ill family member.

Referral Bonus Program

We offer referral bonuses to those who refer legal professionals to us who are placed on contract or direct-hire job opportunities. For contract assignments, bonuses are payable after the referred candidate has completed a minimum of 40 hours on assignment (no bonus is payable if the assignment lasts less than 40 hours). For direct-hire placements, bonuses are payable 30 days following the date of placement (no bonus is payable if the placement lasts less than 30 days). Bonuses may be taxable pursuant to applicable law.
