  • BREEZE. Offering routes north to south from Orange County into San Diego’s Del Mar and east to west from Fallbrook to Escondido, the BREEZE provides quick, reliable access throughout the North County of San Diego, including U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
  • Carpool/Vanpool. Besides saving money on gas and easing traffic congestion, carpoolers and vanpoolers can use designated carpool lanes (HOV) and FasTrak® lanes on freeways at no cost.
  • COASTER. The COASTER links San Diego to North County along the scenic coastline.
  • FasTrak®. Interstate 15 commuters can minimize their drive time by taking the FasTrak® lanes for a small fee. FasTrak® lanes are free for motorcyclists and carpoolers.
  • Metropolitan Transit System: Bus. The MTS bus system makes stops throughout San Diego County at popular destinations such as colleges and universities, local theme parks, shopping districts and more.
  • Metropolitan Transit System: Trolley (San Diego Trolley). The trolley connects San Diego’s East and South Counties along three rail lines, extending as far as Santee in the east and San Ysidro in the south, the last California exit before Mexico.
  • SPRINTER. With stops in Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos and Escondido, the SPRINTER also offers connection to the COASTER in Oceanside.

Preparing for Legal Jobs in San Diego

  • University of San Diego. This catholic private university features a law school that rated among the top 10 in California by the U.S. News & World Report in 2008. Its paralegal program is the oldest American Bar Association-approved program in San Diego.
  • Thomas Jefferson School of Law. This private and independent law school encompasses a curriculum that allows the student body to work closely with faculty for a personalized educational experience.
  • California Western School of Law. This law school provides students with a trimester system that allows them to graduate within two years and graduates with a well-rounded legal skill set.
  • University of California, San Diego. Approved by the American Bar Association, UCSD's paralegal program is taught by prominent attorneys and advanced paralegals. Areas of study include legal writing, research, interviewing and substantive and procedural law.
  • Cuyamaca College. One of the three San Diego paralegal programs approved by the American Bar Association, the curriculum is regularly reviewed by experts in the legal field including judges, attorneys and practicing paralegals.  
  • Miramar College. Another American Bar Association-approved paralegal program, Miiramar College's legal assistant  courses are available for viewing online on the school's Web site. 
  • Southwestern College. Offering bilingual paralegal studies (Spanish/English), students can earn an associate degree/certificate of achievement from this college program.
