ACC San Diego and Exclusively Legal provided administrative support for the All Day MCLE at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla. Close to 150 people attended from legal industries county wide. Hot topics covering eDiscovery, Business Intelligence, Patent Reform and a General Counsel Roundtable on Ethics were presented by the most knowledgeable leaders in the ACC community. On November 9, Abigail Parente, Senior Legal Recruiter at Exclusively Legal, will be among the employment panelists for a University of San Diego internship course. The panel will feature four total speakers, including a representative from the government and a newly employed graduate of USD. Each panelist will be given 20 or so minutes to speak, followed by a question and answer period.

The panel will address topics such as:

Benefits to the respective agencies
Examples of interview questions & how to prepare for them
Traits and characteristics looked for in a candidate

Couture for a Cause brings San Diego legal professionals together to benefit children in need, hosted by the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, in partnership with the San Diego County Bar Association, the Southern California Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, the South Asian Bar Association of San Diego, the San Diego Paralegal Association, the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association, Women in E-Discovery San Diego Chapter, and the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association.

Proceeds from the event will benefit two children’s charities:

Voices for Children works to ensure that abused, neglected and abandoned children who have become dependents of the San Diego County Court will have a safe and permanent home, and STAR/PAL empowers youth to build a safer and more prosperous community by engaging with law enforcement and collaborative partners.
